Halloween Hootenanny 2024—Long Beach’s best beer festival—returns with its dedication to horror’n’hops come Oct. 12 at the Museum of Latin American Art.
Come that Saturday, Halloween Hootenanny will invade the Museum of Latin American Art from 1PM to 5PM (unless you score VIP, which gives one a clutch hour-early entrance time at noon). And it brings over 35 breweries, cideries, and drink makers to sip on until you can no longer handle the beauty of it all.
Halloween Hootenanny 2024 comes from Long Beach craft beer vets.
As with all things great in Long Beach, the people behind this festival are what make it particularly special. On one hand, you have Dennis Trilles of Craft Beer LB, a veteran that’s been serving the city’s home brew and region’s independent beer scene for well over a decade. (And, on top of this, pretty iconic hats.) On top of this, he has been tapping into ways to alter the city’s festival scene. For example, through this weekend’s second iteration of Sake Day and with collabs like Stouts’n’Oysters with DTLB legend Auld Dubliner.
Then we have the Hughes-Svab duo. Martin and Ryan Hughes-Svab not only opened The 4th Horseman (which is now under the stellar leadership of Jeremy Cross and recently expanded) but are an essential part of the craft beer community. Martin opened Phantom Carriage in its wee days, Ryan was a longtime rep for independent beer brands, and together, just bring a great love of beer to the city.
The breweries, cideries, and drink makers coming to this year’s Halloween Hootenanny are par none.
