When I was approached by The 4th Horseman about a potential event involving unlimited pizza and beer, my immediate answer was, “Yes and yes.”

Even better, to act as a kick-off event to celebrate and leading up to Long Beach Restaurant Week in August seemed like a no-brainer, where I can merge my mighty food group—hey there, Cronies—with the forces of The 4th Horseman and The Dark Art Emporium for a one-night-only event night.

Even better? I got to collaborate with Chef Mike Royal on a special pizza—a porchetta pizza using the famed, salty’n’crispy pork dish from Italy—that will be served at the event.

So what does this all mean? Here’s all the info you need:

? Venue: The 4th Horseman, where the love of horrorcore meets the culinary: Tables are adorned with cut-outs of old horror and sci-fi comics like Eerie and Famous Monsters. Two bathrooms are bathed in a sinister red light. Taxidermied animals are above the bar and along the hallway to the bathroom (and elsewhere). It’s an enchanted albeit properly messed up Long Beach gem.

? Amusements and adventures: Get ready to be thoroughly entertained by a hilarious (and slightly tipsy) magician who will leave you in stitches with his odd sense of humor. If you need a break from the ab workout, meander through the Dark Art Emporium, one of the region’s most respected art galleries dedicated to the macabre, weird, and outright offensive.

? Gourmet pizza extravaganza: Indulge in a feast of gourmet pizzas from Chef Mike Royal, including a personally curated porchetta pizza from myself, as aforementioned. Known for their wildly innovative and decadent takes on pies, you certainly will not be going home hungry.

? Meet and hang out with me and Hazel Quimpo of Longbeachize—and feel free to ask me anything about the Long Beach Food Scene (with Cronies encouraged to do so)!

? Raise a Glass: Did we mention unlimited beer, wine, and soft drinks? Repeat: Unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks.

? Embrace the Community: This event is not only a celebration of Long Beach’s restaurant culture but also a testament to the strong bonds and connections we’ve built within the Long Beach community. It’s a night to come together, support local businesses, and create lasting memories with friends, old and new.

?️ Limited tickets: Secure your spot this once-in-a-werewolf-moon night for only $75. Your ticket includes access to unlimited pizza and beer, hilarious entertainment, and a night filled with laughter, camaraderie, and unforgettable moments.
