Long Beach Food Scene: Last Call—or Long Beach Last Call 2025 if you wanna keep it simple—will return March 1 and run through March 10 with a series of events on each day that celebrates the city’s rich bar culture, community, and its workers. From industry-only and unlimited tastings events to cocktail contests and proper Irish coffee lessons, Long Beach Last Call will continue to be the premiere event celebrating Long Beach’s bar and cocktail culture.

What’s Long Beach Last Call 2025?
After the success of my restaurant in 2023, Long Beach Food Scene Week, bar owners and tenders rightfully asked: “What about a week for us?” So I decided to oblige and present Long Beach Last Call last year, a ten-day long celebration of Long Beach’s amazing bar culture, it’s even more amazing workers, and the industry that often goes without recognition as one of our city’s largest economic and social drivers.
And thousands of people proudly showed up. With the alcohol industry going through a roller-coaster of layoffs and rearrangements—from brands leaving distribution companies to brand representation shrinking nationwide—now is the time more than ever to support these incredible people.
This year is no different: March 1 through March 10 will be filled with events dedicated to Long Beach’s love of the drink. Events will span industry-only to public invites. There will be an Irish coffee classes and a Split the G contest at The Auld Dubliner. An unlimited agave spirit tasting at Panxa. A Hennessy tasting and history at Chez Bacchus. A Fernet cocktail contest at Port City Tavern. A private industry appreciation party. A DTLB bar crawl. A Sunday “walk of shame” brunch…

And what are the events for Long Beach Last Call?
We have events spread across all 10 days. Check ’em out!
Saturday, Mar. 1: Kick-off party at The Stache Bar (presented by Buffalo Trace and CorazĂłn), 7PM – 10PM

This event is free but RSVP is required for free drink. Click here to RSVP.
Join us as we kick off the start of Long Beach Last Call 2025 at none other than The Stache Bar on 4th Street. It is a longtime staple that helped introduce Long Beach to quality liquors while giving those who need PBRs and shots a place to feel comfortable. Buffalo Trace and CorazĂłn Tequila will be on hand with tastings and cocktail specials while those who RSVP will receive a free cocktail.
What cocktail? You will have two option: A “Buffalo Soda” made with house-made cola syrup, Buffalo Trace bourbon, a pinch of lemon and grenadine, and a dollop of cola foam. Or a “Laguna Sunrise” with CorazĂłn blanco tequila, clarified orange juice, and a grenadine sorbet.
Sunday, Mar. 2: The Proper Irish Coffee: A Warm Cocktail Class at The Auld Dubliner (presented by Tullamore D.E.W.), Noon – 2PM

Too many Americans think an Irish coffee is some type of Irish cream liqueur thrown into coffee—but you’re a wee bit misdirected.
Join us as we explore the proper Irish coffee at the city finest pub, The Auld Dubliner, with the Tullamore Dew brand ambassador on hand to not only teach you the knowledge as to how to make one of the finest warm cocktails on earth but you’ll be served two, maybe a shot or two, and walk home with some parting gifts. Following, we will have a “Split the G” competition, where drinkers can win prizes for taking a single gulp of Guinness from a Guinness glass and do their best to assure the top line of the beer matches with the center of the “G” on the glass.
Tickets to this event are $30 and there is a limited capacity. To purchase your ticket, click here.
Monday, Mar. 3: Branca cocktail competition at Port City Tavern

FREE TO ATTEND BUT RSVP REQUIRED. TO RSVP, CLICK HERE.
The Branca Cocktail Competition will encourage our city’s finest bartenders to create a Branca-centric concoction to be judged by both a panel and, of course, the crowd for fan favorite. Yes, the public is encouraged to attend so they can vote for their fan favorite. Attendance is free but a RSVP through the link above is required.
For bartenders wanting to submit cocktails, click here for more information.

Friday, Mar. 7: Long Beach Food Scene Meet-Up: DTLB Crawl, 6PM – Midnight

Last year, hundreds showed up—so I am hoping the same happens this year, especially given that DTLB needs all the love it can get. Two things are near and dear to me: DTLB and my food group, the Long Beach Food Scene. And for the second time, I am having a formal meetup of all its members (or at least, however many of the 75,000 show up) as one of the final events of the 10-day celebration of our bar scene that is Long Beach Last Call.
And yes, it is a crawl on Friday, Mar. 7 beginning at 6PM:
- Altar Society (6PM)
- ISM Brewing (7PM)

- The Stave (9PM)
- Broken Spirits (10PM)
- Midnight Oil (11PM)
This event is free to anyone over the age of 21.

Set to take over the parking lot and patio of Port City Tavern, the Long Beach Last Call “Bar-mers” Market will feature ticketed tastings, food, and some of the finest in our industry showing off their creative side.
Pouring will be Four Roses Bourbon and Centenario Tequila, along with Sangre De Tigre michelada mix and Fever Tree mixers. For food, we will feature the following plus more to come:
- Waldo’s Pizza (featuring some of the city’s best pizza)
- Ida’s Sweets (bringing on Cambodian and American desserts)
- PBS Pub (bringing their famed peanuts)
As soon as we know our other vendors, we will list them here.
To attend? Free. To sample alcohol brands? A simple $15 ticket, which also includes a cocktail. Tickets will be available on day-of at Port City Tavern.
Sunday, Mar. 9: Walk of shame breakfast at The Breakfast Bar, 6AM-8AM

Did you know The Breakfast Bar has an early bird happy hour every day of the week? From $9 breakfast burritos and sandwiches to $5 cocktails, the so-called “walk of shame” specials are awesome—and deserve more uplift. That’s why we’re having a Walk of Shame meet-up/breakfast for those who either want to continue the party, start the party early, or simply want to support a business.
Free to attend.
Sunday, Mar. 9: Networking event at Dilly’s Sandwiches [invite only]; 2PM-3PM

Invite-only event to not just experience the great sandwiches and beers of Dilly’s—which unquestionably hosts the city’s most distinct tap list—but also network and get to know the people we should know. This will be for bar and restaurant owners, bar and restaurant managers, and city and organizational leaders.
Monday, Mar. 10: Industry appreciation party at Baby Gee Bar [invite only]; 5PM-7PM

This industry- and invite-only event will sign off Long Beach Last Call 2025 the way it should be signed off: thanking those in the industry who often do a thankless job. A major shout-out to Baby Gee owners Gianna Johns and Daniel Flores, who have hosted this party for both Last Call and Long Beach Food Scene Week two years in a row.
