Just like last year—when thousands swarmed Shoreline Aquatic Park in Downtown Long Beach—LA Beer Week’s marquee event returns. LA Independent Beer Fest 2026 will take place on Saturday, June 6. The festival will once again transform the waterfront into the largest craft beer celebration in Southern California, bringing together more than 75 breweries and pouring over 150 unique beers.

What is the LA Independent Beer Fest?
Now in its 16th year, LA Beer Week is spearheaded by the Los Angeles County Brewers Guild and has grown into a citywide tribute to the region’s thriving craft beer culture. The Independent Beer Fest has long been a staple of that celebration, but it wasn’t until last year that Long Beach was tapped as its host city—a move that felt both overdue and perfectly timed.
This year’s festival runs from 1PM to 5PM (though early birds with VIP tickets can sneak in at noon to get a head start on the pours and dodge the longest lines). Each brewery is expected to showcase two of their best, adding up to a massive tasting menu of 150-plus brews throughout the afternoon.
In past years, the fest typically set up shop near Los Angeles Center Studios—right where the 110 brushes up against Downtown LA and Westlake. So when Long Beach stepped in to host the California Craft Beer Summit back in 2018 (thanks to construction delays in Sacramento), it felt like a pivotal moment. Now, with Long Beach firmly on the beer map, it’s gratifying to see major industry events not only returning but thriving here on our coast.
Besides LA Indendepent Beer Fest, are there any other happenings in Long Beach for LA Beer Week?
Yes. ISM Brewing in Downtown Long Beach, as has become tradition, will be one of the major hubs for LA Beer Week.
“The night before the fest, we are hosting a showcase of collaboration beers made with Admiral Maltings and Indie Hops,” Ian McCall of ISM said. “Breweries include us, Smog City, All Seasons, and Firestone Walker. One collab beer with both vendors will be poured, plus a second beer of their choosing.”
