The Social List has released its holiday cocktail and food menu—and it is one of their best in a long while, particularly as Long Beach becomes an epicenter for holiday takeovers. Bread bowls full of all-beef-no-beans chili with just a hint of curry. Apple cider-braised pork that is like carnitas took a Christmas vacation. A turkey pot pie that is genuinely warming. A surprisingly solid prosciutto toast lined with mashed butternut squash…
And then there’s the solid array of cocktails that feel nostalgic in a very Long Beach sense—more on that in a bit.

It’s a welcome addition to the space, which will be seeing a massive change come 2026. (You might have noticed some hints laying on the table top displays if you’ve been paying attention.)
“The Social List was always a place that was supposed to make people feel welcomed and warm,” said Chef Luis Navarro. “With the Long Beach Grand Prix Fixe taking up so much of our energy, we didn’t have the time to really focus on our Halloween menu earlier this year. So we double-downed for this, brought back an old family member to help us round it all out, and we hope the community gets it.”

The Social List’s holiday menus feel nostalgic in more ways than one…
When digging into the holiday pot pie—where layers of turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, and Italian sausage stuffing lay underneath puff pastry and cranberry sauce—there are obvious feelings of holiday nostalgia. And yes, the chili bowl brings back times when, if you were lucky enough to have someone like owner Brenda Rivera as a mom, you were granted your wish to have a massive bowl of her honestly solid chili…
Yes, there is that nostalgia. Common, almost universal amongst Americans.

But if you’re sipping on one of the cocktails off the new holiday menu and tell yourself, “This feels a bit like the old Social List,” you’re onto something: Luis and Brenda brought back their former beverage director, the much-missed Erik Rios-Wentzky, to oversee the creation of the cocktail menu.
The result is a wondrous array of Something For Everyone. There’s a play on a Gansito that is wildly delicious dubbed “Cindy Lou Who.” A pandan-centric concoction that is wonderfully creamy called “Grinchmas.” A coconut eggnog martini for the espresso martini lovers known as “Santa Paws.” The prosecco-meets-cranberry concoction that is “Jingle Bells” for the porch pounders. And outright stellar mulled wine…
