West Coast Taco & Beer Festival returns to Long Beach with unlimited tacos and beer

Share

After making its premiere last year, West Coast Taco & Beer Festival—one of the country’s largest taco and beer fests—is returning to Long Beach with an expanded presence, a larger venue space, and unlimited taco and beer tastings.

Yes, unlimited taco and beer tastings.

What is the West Coast Taco & Beer Festival—and what’s different this year?

The San Diego-based West Coast Taco & Beer Festival made its debut in Long Beach (as well as taking over the Stramler Park for the first time in Bakersfield and Union Station in DTLA) last year after taking heed from its original event in San Diego (which is now on fifth iteration down south).

While last year’s event as at Rainbow Lagoon Park in late August across a single day, the 2024 West Coast Taco & Beer Festival will take place at the much larger and picturesque Shoreline Aquatic Park by the lighthouse across two days, July 13 and 14.

General admission and VIP ticket holders will both get unlimited beer and taco tastings this year (as last year the only thing that was unlimited were the brews). There’s also an upgrade GA ticket that gives you a tote and swag with an hour extra early entrance, with regular GA running you $49 and upgraded GA costing $79.

VIP ($129) grants you one-hour early admission—2PM to 6PM—as well as access to some top shelf tequila mezcal tastings, a catered food section, and air conditioned restrooms. There are also cabana packages that will run you $1,500 for five people and includes a bottle of Don Julio.

Joining the fun? Lucha libre battles, live music, and more.

The San Diego event draws thousands of festival goers each year when it invades the Broadway Pier under the skyline. And given the event’s connect to San Diego, arguably the country’s largest concentration of craft and independent breweries, the list of beer offerings never tends to be anything less than stellar.

The West Coast Taco & Beer Festival will take place at Shoreline Aquatic Park in Long Beach on Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14. GA will have access from 3PM to 6PM while upgraded GA and VIP have access from 2PM to 6PM. For more information, click here.
