Just like last year—when thousands swarmed Shoreline Aquatic Park in Downtown Long Beach—LA Beer Week’s marquee event returns. LA Independent Beer Fest 2025 will take place on Saturday, June 14. The festival will once again transform the waterfront into the largest craft beer celebration in Southern California, bringing together more than 75 breweries and pouring over 150 unique beers.

What is the LA Independent Beer Fest?
Now in its 15th year, LA Beer Week is spearheaded by the Los Angeles County Brewers Guild and has grown into a citywide tribute to the region’s thriving craft beer culture. The Independent Beer Fest has long been a staple of that celebration, but it wasn’t until last year that Long Beach was tapped as its host city—a move that felt both overdue and perfectly timed.
This year’s festival runs from 1PM to 5PM (though early birds with VIP tickets can sneak in at noon to get a head start on the pours and dodge the longest lines). Each brewery is expected to showcase two of their best, adding up to a massive tasting menu of 150-plus brews throughout the afternoon.
In past years, the fest typically set up shop near Los Angeles Center Studios—right where the 110 brushes up against Downtown LA and Westlake. So when Long Beach stepped in to host the California Craft Beer Summit back in 2018 (thanks to construction delays in Sacramento), it felt like a pivotal moment. Now, with Long Beach firmly on the beer map, it’s gratifying to see major industry events not only returning but thriving here on our coast.
Besides LA Indendepent Beer Fest, are there any other happenings in Long Beach for LA Beer Week?
Yes. ISM Brewing in Downtown Long Beach will be one of the major hubs for LA Beer Week. They will be hosting the Brewers’ Night on June 13, with a special collab release between them, Ambitious Ales, Ten Mile, Altar Society, Trademark, Syncopated… They’ll also have a LA Beer Trivia Night on June 16. Community Conversations with ISM GM Tomm Carroll on June 17. A bottle share on June 18. A Juneteenth celebration on June 19. And a Besties & Westies kick-off June 20 with a tap takeover June 21 and 22.
