Here’s what’s going on in the Long Beach food scene:
- The Social List on 4th Street in the heart of Retro Row is undergoing construction for a complete renovation after eight years of remaining basically untouched. According to owner Luis Navarro, they are expected to reopen Oct. 19.

- Lord Windsor Coffee, one of Long Beach’s most respected shops and roasters and largely responsible for bringing specialty roasting into the city’s coffee scene, is looking for a new spot after a drunk driver crashed into their flagship space they were leasing in May of last year. Struggling to find a meeting ground between themselves and their landlord, Wade Windsor announced they are looking for new spaces to move to as soon as possible.

- The shuttered Acapulco Inn space in Belmont Shore—what was one of the city’s oldest bars—will be replaced with Louie’s on 2nd after construction on the space was halted due to the pandemic. It is unknown when the space is expected to open.
