An Altar Society breakfast, you say? Yessiree: The much-loved Downtown Long Beach brewery is now prepared to offer breakfast sandwiches, breakfast pizzas, breakfast burritos, and plenty of bubbles, beers, and Bloody Marys to wrap a nice liquid blanket around those ubiquitous Long Beach day drinkers.
When is Altar Society breakfast running from and to?
The burrito and breakfast sandwich are offered every day from 7AM to noon. The breakfast pizza—with a chipotle aioli base, mozzarella cheese, chorizo, breakfast potatoes, eggs, a little salt and pepper, and topped with fresh arugula and pesto—is available on Saturdays and Sunday as a whole pizza from 8AM to noon.
As a result, the move harkens back to what the brewery, bar, pizza place, coffee shop, and venue have been trying to do since day one. And that is a morning-to-late-night space for the Downtown community.
How Altar Society continues to evolve after its first year of operation.
Altar Society is one of Downtown Long Beach’s largest spaces, melding a brewery, a bar, a pizzeria, a cafe, and a massive event space into one. As a result, is leading a charge that refuses to believe DTLB can’t and shouldn’t be something spectacular.
“We’re not saying this is something easy,” said co-owner Chris Evans earlier this year. “People renting out our event space has largely held us up but we know these incoming residents coming into all these new spaces are going to want spaces that belong to them, as are the folks that have stuck around. They deserve that.”
